Shirley A McGuire

ELKHART-Shirley A. McGuire, 87, passed away April 19, 2026, at the Center for Hospice Care the Esther House.  She was born February 8, 1939, in Constantine, MI. 

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry & Florence (Babcoke) Miller , sisters Norma Jean Kling, Alice Tinsman; brothers Jack, Harry, and Richard Miller.

  Surviving is her husband, Roger McGuire, two children, Kimberly Urban of Bristol, and Troy (Rachel) Myers of Bentonville, AR. Four grandchildren, Ashley Evans of Bristol, Seth Urban of Indianapolis, Cameron Urban of Elkhart, and Caine Urban of Bremerton WA. One great grandson William Beck and her sister Geraldine (Gerry) Gordon.

  Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling the West and spending time with friends. Her passion was horses and she found joy in the many, many miles she rode in her lifetime. She was a member of the Bristol Marshalls Posse.

Shirley was rooted by her faith and service to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and attended Church on the Rock in Elkhart .

  Per her wishes cremation will take place and there will be no services. 

  Memorial contributions may be given to The Center for Hospice Care, Esther’s House.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Esther’s House, for the dignity, tenderness and compassion in the care they provided Shirley.
