Sonja "Honey" M. Hebb

Sonja "Honey" M. Hebb, 59, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on November 27, 1964, in Leonardtown, MD, to James and Annie (Dorsey) Hebb, Sr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lervon Taylor; and her best friend, Gwendolyn Woodland.

Surviving are three children, Marcell Taylor, Sonja Gladden, Ma’Kya Harper; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are 12 siblings: Mary (James) Price, Agnes Price, Cynthia Berry, Carol (Anthony) Rinck, Catherine (Anthony) Moses, Brenda (Charles) Guillory, Sharon Bowman, Tracy (Sidney) Dorsey, James Hebb Jr., Thomas Hebb, Charles (Doreen) Hebb, Calvin Hebb; and her companion of many years, Gregory Crafton.

Sonja who was “Sweet Like Honey” always had a smile on her face and would often encourage her family in her own way. Her children, grandchildren, and especially her great-grandchildren meant everything to her, and she enjoyed making memories with them.

Per her wishes, cremation will take place, and there will be a celebration of life service at a later date.
