Steven D Smith

MONTEREY-Steven “Steve” D. Smith, 57, passed away unexpectedly March 19, 2021.  He was born April 11, 1963 in Gary, IN to the late Densel & Patricia (Wright) Smith. 

  Surviving is his daughter, Erica (Michael McQuillen) Smith 1 granddaughter, Shaelin McQuillen, his loving companion of 7 years, Angel Gibson, 1 stepson, John Gibson, 2 step grandchildren, Faith and Greyson, 5 siblings, Kenneth (Beth) Smith, Rhonda (Matthew) Sorrells, Thomas Smith, Mark (Elizabeth) Smith and Jamie (Brian) Bellamay.  Also surviving is his stepmother, Sally Smith-Grimaldi and numerous other family members.

  Steve enjoyed sports and playing softball in his spare time.  He had an enthusiasm for birds especially his 4 African Greys and was an avid Beatles fan.  He will be remembered as great guy that loved his family and lived life to the fullest. 

  A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Community Full Gospel Church, 915 East Jefferson Street, Plymouth, IN.

  Burial of cremated remains will be held Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Sunnydale Cemetery in Narrows, KY. 

  Presiding over all of the services is Rev. Jerry Gibson. 

Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
