Sylvia Cullen Obituary

After a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Sylvia Anne (Waterman) Cullen went to be with Jesus on August 15th, 2021. She was preceded by her parents, Maynard and Ruth (Graham) Waterman and sister, Vicki Waterman. Sylvia is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Courtney Hibbard, her sonshine Chad (Laura) Hibbard, three beautiful grandchildren: Aiden, Kian, and Mia Hibbard, sister Faye (Carol) Dabney, and brothers, Gary (Kris) and Darryl Waterman, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Silvia was known for her infectious smile, beautiful singing voice, and deep love for her kids and grandkids. She graduated with a Bible diploma and went on to work in Broome County government for 30 years. She was an accomplished musician, sang and played the piano and organ in church for many years. Sylvia loved the beach, Broadway, and her kitties, but most of all, she loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
