Thomas Cassell Obituary

ELKHART-Thomas E. Cassell, 76, passed away December 28, 2021, at his home in Elkhart. He was born October 6, 1945, in Utica, Mississippi Ernest & Madie (Cooper) Cassell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Gennette Cassell, 7 siblings, infant brother, Maine, Herman, Jessie, Luther and Clyde Cassell and Josephine Gates.

Surviving are 3 children, Derrick Cassell, Terral (Tony Jones) Cassell, Tasha Cassell, 7 grandchildren, Roshawanda Cassell, Ruthie Cassell, Tiara (Darnell) Jackson, Toni Jones, Jasmine Cassell, Jaquane Cassell Johnnie Allen and 17 great-grandchildren.

Thomas collected model trains, enjoyed having a fish tank, reading the Bible, listening to music, and watching sports. He was a simple man with a caring soul that tended to love his family from a distance. Towards the end of Thomas’s life, he became very humble and relied more on the teachings in the Bible.

Per his wishes cremation will take place and there will be no services.

Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
