Thomas Swett

MISHAWAKA-Thomas J. Swett, 78, passed away December 31, 2021, at his home in Mishawaka. He was born December 5, 1943, in Muskegon, MI to Arden & Genevieve (Hays) Swett.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Scott Swett, daughter, Amy Swett, brother, Robert Swett and a sister, Elizabeth Newman.

  On March 14, 1998, in Mishawaka he married Bonnie Kovatch; she survives along with his son, Daniel Swett, stepson, Brian (Tracey) Kovatch, stepdaughter, Marcia Barnette, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

  Thomas served stateside during Vietnam and was in the Army Reserves for 8 years. He worked at Sealed Power in Muskegon, MI where he retired from after 31 years of service and then worked at St. Joseph Library. Thomas was an avid fisherman, enjoyed socializing, and was very family orientated. He will be remembered as a kind and thoughtful man with a wonderful heart. 

Per his wishes a private family service will take place.
