Vanissa Messick

Vanissa Messick, 48, of Bristol, Indiana left this world suddenly on November 11, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on September 14, 1973, in Goshen, In., to Ervin Yoder and Mary (Harshberger) Yoder.

Vanissa was a unique, free spirit with a gypsy soul. She loved road trips. This past August she was able to have a special trip to North Carolina spent with her three children. She had a special interest in gemology and herbals. She enjoyed nature and gardening. She was fond of music, her favorite bands Journey, Fleetwood Mac, and Prince.

Vanissa is preceded in death by her late mother Mary Yoder. She leaves behind many heartbroken family members to cherish her memory: Her father: Ervin Yoder of Bristol, IN; Her children: Darian Yoder of Mebane, NC; Madison Messick and Kyuss Messick both of Elkhart, IN; Former spouse: Dannie Messick Jr of Elkhart, IN. Brothers: Wade (Shannon) Yoder of Bristol, IN; Sheldon (Carrie) Yoder of Wabash, IN; Travis Yoder of Elkhart, IN. Also surviving are nieces and nephews along with many friends and family.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.
