Veronica Williams

Veronica Williams, 72, of Elkhart, Indiana, entered eternal rest on Monday, October 28, 2024, at East Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation in Elkhart. She was born on September 23, 1952, in St. Louis, MO, to Lewis and Dorothy (Gilmore) Smart, Jr.

Veronica married Colletti Williams on September 14, 1992, in Elkhart, IN. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Colletti Williams of Atlanta, GA; three siblings, Marilyn Whittingham of Elkhart, Sandra Bragdon of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Timothy Smart of South Bend, IN; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Veronica was preceded in death by her parents.

Veronica was formerly employed as a customer service representative for NIBCO in Elkhart and was a member of the Community Missionary Baptist Church in Elkhart.

Cremation will take place, and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Community Missionary Baptist Church, 228 Chapman Avenue, Elkhart, IN 46516.  Pastor Clarence Jones will render the service. A repast will immediately follow the service.

Veronica’s ashes will be placed in a columbarium at Rice Cemetery, Elkhart, at a later date. Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with her care.
