ELKHART-Victoria “Vicki” Bunn, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away October 30, 2025. Born on August 10, 1947 in Elkhart, Indiana, Vicki’s life was a testament to the enduring power of love, faith and the simple joys of life.
Vicki was the cherished daughter of the late Pete and Thelma (Stiver) Cataldo.
On October 30, 2009, Vicki married her best friend of 45 years, Bill Bunn. They happily spent the rest of their lives together. Sharing everything from fishing in the UP as the loons cried, attending concerts, belly laughs on their many car rides to simply dancing together at home.
Though she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, John Gardner, sister, Patricia Lawson, and her son-in-law, Bill Macioce, Vicki’s spirit of family unity never wavered.
Her role as a mother was one of Vicki’s greatest joys. She raised her daughters, Angie (Dan) Gill and Heather (Danny) Bucker, with an abundance of love and a nurturing heart. Vicki’s grandchildren, Pete Dietl, Kristen Vance, and Dominik Macioce, were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Vicki was also a doting great-grandmother to her great-grandsons, Kellen and Royce. Vicki’s sisters, Diane Kamp, Pam (Steve) Pixley, and Cathy Tindall, along with her brother-in-law, Charles “Chuck” Lawson, will remember her as a loving and kind sister, whose laughter and presence brought comfort and joy to every family gathering.
A woman of many passions, Vicki’s love for music filled her home with melodies and her kitchen with the aroma of delicious meals, to the delight of her friends and family. She knew no strangers and has the gift of making others feel important, worthy and loved.
Vicki’s life was a beautiful melody composed of loving moments, acts of kindness, and the cherished company of her family. Her legacy in one of unconditional love, a love that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew her. Vicki’s gentle spirit and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed, but her memory will life on as a comforting presence in the lives of her family and friends.
