Vilma "Nina" Vida Aurand

On Aug. 30, 2024, Vilma Vida Lovisa Aurand, "Nina," of Granger, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord and Savior. She was 81.

Surrounded by her loving husband Ron, family and friends, Nina was well loved and cared for. Ron was her rock and caretaker for the last several years and did a wonderful job.

Nina was born on June 25, 1943, to Amedeo and Teresa Lovisa.

Nina was fun-loving, happy-go-lucky and full of spunk. She was known for her kindness and was friendly to all who met her. She loved Notre Dame football and was an avid fan of Notre Dame women's basketball. Nina loved "The Lake" in Jones, Michigan, and all her friends at Lakeside Campground. She enjoyed her garden club, spending time with family and friends, as well as watching the home and garden channel. She was a supervisor of the radiology department at South Bend Clinic for 32 years.

Well done, Nina. Rest easy, good and faithful servant. You will be missed greatly.

Graveside services are pending at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN.
