William Chambers, Sr

William “Bill” Chambers Sr., age 84, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025.

He was born on February 23, 1941, in Knox, to Archie and Violet (Wilson) Chambers.
On January 13, 1964, Bill married Joyce Leslie, in Knox, Indiana.
Together they had two wonderful sons..
Bill was preceded in death by his son William Chambers Jr., his parents Archie and Violet,
and his siblings Alan, Alvin, Bob, Carl, Charlotte, and Chuck.
He is survived by his devoted wife Joyce, his son Alvin (Sandy), and four beloved granddaughters: Natasha, Naomi, Krystal, and Cheyenne. Bill’s legacy continues through his six great-grandchildren
and one great-great-grandson.
Bill spent his childhood on the family farm, where he developed his lifelong appreciation
for the outdoors and hard work. He cherished time spent fishing and shooting with his son Alvin, sharing countless memories in nature. Bill also had a special place in his heart for his many four-legged companions, especially his dear friend Buddy.
Bill will be remembered for his warm heart, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family. His humor, kindness, and steady presence touched the lives of all who knew him.
A life well-lived, Bill’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends
