William Edward Kotinek

SOUTH BEND- William Edward Kotinek, 38, of South Bend, Indiana died Thursday July 15, 2021, at his residence in South Bend.  He was born August 23, 1982, in Palos Heights, IL to Lawrence D. and Tina M. (Totleben) Kotinek.

Left to cherish his memory are his 4 children, Morgan Elizabeth Kotinek, Maxum Avery Kotinek, Marlee Corse Kotinek, Macyn Olivia Kotinek; his mother and father Lawrence and Tina Kotinek of Niles, MI; 3 siblings Eric (Johana) Kavales of Niles, Lauren (Todd) Mendez of Edwardsburg, Matthew Kotinek of Granger.  Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and his grandparents Edward and Carol Kotinek of Nokena, IL.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents Glenna Dilts Kotinek and Raymond J. and Pearl Totleben.

William graduated in 2000 from Penn High School.  He was employed as an electrician for Union Local #153 in South Bend.

William was a motorcycle enthusiast and a hard worker.  He would never turn down a dare.  But most of all he was a devoted father to his four children, and he was a true warrior in his fight against cancer.

Cremation will take place at Elkhart Cremation Services.  A gathering for friends and family will be held on Sunday July 25, 2021, from 1-5 p.m. at Smokestack Brew, located on 100 N. Center St. in Mishawaka, IN.

New toys, clothing, or monetary donations may be given to Memorial Children’s Hospital.
