SOUTH BEND-William “Bill” J. Szalay, 56, passed away May 20, 2023, at his home in South Bend. He was born July 29, 1967, in South Bend.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shawna Kay Szalay, his parents, Francis Szalay, Sandra Gallup, 2 siblings, Francis Szalay and Sheila Szalay.
Surviving are 3 children, Jeffrey Szalay, Amber Kenney, William Szalay Jr., and a sister, Michele (Jason) Chrapliwy.
Bill was a plumber for over 20 years and also owned McMasters Services. He enjoyed figuring out how things work and would spend his time tinkering with anything he could find.
Cremation will take place and there will be no services.
Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
