William "Moose" R. Shockley

William “Moose” R. Shockley, 65, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, in Elkhart, IN.  He was born on October 15, 1958, in San Diego, CA.

Surviving is his daughter, Candice D. Shockley; his mother, Naomi Anne Clayton; two sisters, Kyria A. Smith and Patricia D. Shockley; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William E. Shockley Sr., brothers; William E. Shockley Jr. (Geronimo), William Frank Shockley, John C. Shockley and sister Sarah E. Shockley. 

Moose was a hardworking man that loved the open road. He spent over 30 years as a truck driver, and in his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley. Family was important to him, and he always had time for his daughter, siblings, nieces and nephews as well as his friends, old and new. 

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00-3:00pm on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Ponce De Leon's Fountain of Youth, Magnolia Room, 11 Magnolia Avenue, St. Augustine, FL 32084.

Due to his love for his Pitbull “Brutus,” memorial contributions may be given to Villalobos Rescue Center, P.O. Box 39, Napoleonville, LA 70390.
